Lee with his 1997 Nissan, bought in March 1999.
Today another separation was made from my connection with Lee. His “Pick Em Up” truck was sold.
I cried, great gut-wrenching sobs, after it left. I felt the same as if I had put a beloved pet down.
The emotion surprised me.
I awoke this morning to more snow, with 6-8” on the ground. I intended to drive Lee’s truck to the Department of Motor Vehicles in Post Falls this morning to complete the sale, but the amount of snowfall made me nervous about driving. The buyer decided he would come here to complete the transaction. (It was obvious to me God wanted this sale to be completed today.)
I started the snow blower, went a few feet and suddenly a terrible crunching grinding sound and half of a brick sailed out the front of the snow blower. I killed the engine, looked for the other half (finally deciding the machine had pulverized it), and wondered what damage I’d done. I started it up again, started blowing snow, and realized the left side was just pushing snow rather than auguring it into the chute and blowing it out.
Being mechanically challenged, I texted the friend who initially showed me how to use the machine and – BLESS HIS HEART! – he came over. He quickly determined the shear pin on the left side auger blades broke. He said this is a good thing, easily fixed. Of course I didn’t have a spare pin so he had to go to the hardware store and get some. He replaced the pin and I was back in business. (THANK YOU MIKE!)
All this was occurring about the same time as the buyer was here to take Lee’s truck away. When everyone left, I finished clearing the driveway and sidewalk, walked past the empty place in the garage and realized the hard truth that I have lost another reminder of my life with Lee, then I had a good cry.
Update on the Bible reference books.
Three of the large sets are spoken for: Cambridge Ancient History, Theological Dictionary of the New Testament and Commentary on the Old Testament.

So good to hear from you , Snowblower thing is a bummer.

God has many "lessons" for each of us to learn. Some are less painful than others. But it's the painful experiences that teach us patience and endurance, and help us to further mature in our walk with Him.
Thank you for sharing this recent experience, and for being vulnerable and transparent with your emotions. You are a blessing.
